ADMINISTRATOR TRAINING
FirstClass Admin Update Versions 9.0 and 9.1 include many, many new features from both a user and admin perspective, such as punch-through calendars and workflow applications. This is a one-day session to demonstrate the new features and how to implement them. You can also ask any and all questions that may have stymied you in your use of FirstClass software. FirstClass & the Web One of the most powerful, but least understood and utilized, features of FirstClass as a collaboration and communications platform, is its easy and flexible web-publishing system. FirstClass Internet Services makes publication of information to the web so simple anyone can do it. In this one-day workshop Gregg will show you how to publish any calendar to the web (How about a Homework Calendar?) without html or an expensive application or service; how to make announcements or publish any communication in minutes; how to set up FirstClass to publish websites for your teachers the right way (there are at least six reasons not to use Personal Home Pages for this); and how to manage multiple sites on one FirstClass Server. FirstClass Application Development Training This is an introduction to workflow tools. The group will build and deploy a Field Trip Request application that will take the process through a teacher's request (filling out a form) through several stages of review and approval, to scheduling. If your organization is not a school, the process will be sure to resemble many workflow processes. We will learn how to use Designer to build custom FirstClass forms with advanced workflow properties. We will build FirstClass Application Rules to manage the workflow process, including Custom Columns for data display. The workflow built during the workshop will be functional, but not necessarily a polished work product, and will be intended as a place to get started with FirstClass Workflow

Exercises and discussions relating to administrative functions such as conference organization and security measures will augment a detailed, step-by-step guide provided to all participants. FirstClass Batch Administration This course is designed for experienced FirstClass administrators whose systems are large enough to benefit from management through batch administration. Programming with FirstClass RAD FirstClass RAD training is designed to give technically savvy FirstClass System Administrators unlimited facility for customizing and adding application interfaces to FirstClass systems. Participants in this program will gain fundamental skills in designing and creating useful solutions for FirstClass. FirstClass Application Workflow Development The FirstClass Application Rules course focuses on leveraging the most powerful features of the 8.1 through 9.0 releases.
