Programming with FirstClass RAD   
FirstClass RAD training is designed to give technically savvy FirstClass System Administrators unlimited facility for customizing and adding application interfaces to FirstClass systems. Participants in this program will gain fundamental skills in designing and creating useful solutions for FirstClass. As an added bonus, each student will program and customize real-world solutions that they can then install on their own FirstClass system.

• FirstClass RAD project management
• Programming within the RAD interface
• Database applications in RAD
• Building, installing, and sharing your applications

Prerequisites
• FirstClass Designer course or previous experience creating forms with the
FirstClass Designer (Designer is offered May 17, June 7, July 19, 2007)
• Basic programming and database experience
• FirstClass Administration course or previous administrator experience.
• Basic knowledge of FirstClass Batch Administration commands (NEW, ADD,
GET USER)

Course Fee: $1,300 per student.

Certificate issued upon completion.

Note: This course has a prerequisite of FirstClass Designer, and requires each student to bring a laptop with Windows and Microsoft Access, or capable of running Windows and Microsoft Access (i.e. Intel Mac with Boot Camp or Parallels). Kannon has a limited number of computers available for those wishing to take the course but who do not have an appropriate laptop.

FirstClass® Application Workflow Development

Course Summary
The FirstClass Application Rules course focuses on leveraging the most powerful
features of the 8.1 through 9.0 releases. The new features of Group resource distribution,
custom conference layout, application rules, and custom toolbar buttons provide the
structure for the development of sophisticated applications that run entirely within your
FirstClass environment. This course will take you step-by-step through these processes
using a hands-on approach. You will learn and create basic toolbar modification and
customization to complex workflow applications.

Course Prerequisites
Participants wishing to take this course should have a solid understanding of FirstClass
Administration, and the FirstClass Designer application for custom form development.

Course Length
FirstClass Application Workflow Development is a two-day course.

Course Objectives
At the end of this course, participants will be able to:

• discuss and utilize the FirstClass 9.0 workflow features
• know how to use Group resource distribution to distribute custom resources
• modify and customize conference toolbars
• modify and customize conference view windows
• develop simple but effective applications
• develop a complex workflow application

This course has a prerequisite of FirstClass Designer.
